The firm
A leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong regional presence across the North of England and Scotland are seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join their Leeds office. Their Private Client team advise an impressive range of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and family groups—providing bespoke tax planning and advisory services that make a genuine impact.
The role
As a Senior Manager, you'll take ownership of key client relationships and deliver high-level advisory work across IHT, CGT, trusts, estates, residence and domicile, and succession planning. You'll also play a major role in mentoring junior managers and supporting the growth and direction of the Private Client service line.
Responsibilities:
- Leading complex advisory projects across a wide range of private client issues
- Managing a high-value portfolio of HNWI and trust clients
- Reviewing and delivering technically accurate tax advice in collaboration with Partners
- Building long-term client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
- Managing, coaching, and developing junior members of the team
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to firm growth strategy
About you
- CTA qualified (or ACA/STEP with strong tax background)
- Significant experience in private client tax, with strong technical advisory skills
- Proven experience managing both clients and teams
- Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Commercially minded with ambition to progress to Director
