I'm currently working with a leading Independent Accountancy firm who are looking to bring in a new Private Client/Trust Tax Director to lead their trust tax business in Yorkshire. A well established firm across Yorkshire who provide a full range of general practice services and have experienced steady growth over the last 3-5 years.
This role is perfect for Senior Manager who is looking to step up or an experienced director who wants more ownership with a clear pathway to partner.
Your new role:
- Lead the delivery and review of complex trust and estate tax compliance work, ensuring accuracy and adherence to UK tax legislation.
- Provide expert tax planning advice to trustees, beneficiaries, and high-net-worth individuals, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax strategies.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact for trust-related tax matters, liaising with solicitors and financial advisers as needed.
- Monitor and interpret changes in UK tax law affecting trusts and estates, advising clients and internal teams accordingly.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities for additional services and contributing to proposals and client pitches.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering technical development and ensuring high standards of client service.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Suitable qualification including ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or STEP
- Several years experience working in private client tax, with a focus in Trust & IHT.
- Experience building and running teams
- Experience with business development
