A leading and large independent firm are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Director to join its growing tax leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with owner-managed businesses across a broad range of compliance and advisory matters.

Working alongside the Head of Tax and Tax Partner, you will play a pivotal role in developing client relationships and delivering commercially focused tax advice to businesses across Scotland.

About the Role
  • Lead the delivery of corporate tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, ranging from SMEs to companies with turnovers of up to £16 million.
  • Advise business owners and shareholders on a variety of tax matters, working closely with colleagues across the private client team to provide joined-up solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and identifying opportunities to add value through proactive tax planning.
  • Support the continued growth of the tax practice, contributing to the development of the team and strengthening the firm's advisory offering.

This is an independent, full-service accountancy and advisory firm established in the 1900s, with offices in Dundee, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The firm employs approximately 200 people, including 18 partners, and has a specialist tax team of 28 professionals covering corporate tax, private client tax and VAT. It advises a diverse client base including family-owned businesses, SMEs and international groups across sectors such as gaming, manufacturing and food & drink. The business is investing heavily in innovation and technology, including AI-driven tax solutions, while remaining proudly independent and partner-led.
