Your role as a Private Client Tax Manager:
- Managing a portfolio of private client cases, including trusts and HNW individuals.
- Drafting reports and correspondence covering areas such as IHT planning, residence, and domicile.
- Meeting with clients to understand their tax planning needs and provide tailored advice.
- Delivering CGT advice on property, shares, and other assets for both UK and non-UK residents.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and supporting their development.
- Overseeing compliance services, including preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns.
- Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to other specialist services within the firm.
- Maintaining accurate client records and handling queries confidently.
- Liaising with HMRC, solicitors, and other professional bodies to ensure excellent client service.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in a mixed tax compliance and advisory role.
- ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Solid understanding of current tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills.
- Professional, discreet, and confident in building client relationships.
