A respected independent accountancy practice in Chipping Norton is looking to add a Personal Tax Senior to its private client team. This opportunity would suit somebody looking for a broader and more varied personal tax role within a friendly and flexible environment, with exposure to both compliance and advisory work across a high-quality client base. The role offers involvement in a wide range of private client matters including HNW individuals, trusts, estates, CGT and inheritance tax work.
The Role
- Manage your own portfolio whilst supporting senior members of the tax team on more technical planning and advisory assignments.
- Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns.
- Managing personal tax client relationships.
- Capital gains tax work.
- Rental property taxation.
- Assisting with trusts and estate tax matters.
- Supporting inheritance tax and estate planning projects.
- Liaising with clients and professional contacts.
- Supporting junior staff where appropriate.

The firm would consider ATT, CTA, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates with strong personal tax exposure gained within practice. They are ideally looking for somebody with:
- Personal tax experience within accountancy practice.
- Good compliance knowledge.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage work independently.
- An interest in developing wider advisory exposure over time.
Trusts and estates experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
