A global leader in financial professional services for the sports, media and entertainment industries is expanding its London tax team. This is a rare opportunity to work with high-profile, international clients across music, film, TV and sport, delivering genuinely complex and advisory-led tax work. This hire sits at Manager or Senior Manager level, with a clear pathway to Associate Director within 12 months for the right individual. Prior Media and Entertainment experience is not essential, but you will need experience working with non-resident and non-dom clients.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, growing team and working directly with senior stakeholders on a client base that includes HNWIs, UHNWIs, international performers, touring productions and creative businesses.
The Tax Manager / Senior Manager Role
This is a hands-on, technically strong role covering both compliance and advisory, with significant exposure to US/UK crossover taxation and complex structuring work. You’ll manage your own portfolio while supporting Partners and Directors on advisory projects and helping to shape the future growth of the team. Key areas include:
- US/UK crossover tax - relocations, withholding tax, international entertainer issues
- Personal tax - HNWI / UHNWIs, often with offshore structures
- Corporate tax - from simple entities to more complex group structures
- IHT & estate planning - substantial estates, multi-jurisdictional wills
- Trusts & asset structuring - family wealth and group arrangements
- Entertainment-specific tax - touring artists, film productions, non-residents
- Advisory projects - technical planning and partner-led consultancy work
This is not a standard compliance-heavy role. The work is varied, technical, and advisory in nature, requiring someone comfortable operating at a true manager/senior manager level.
About You
You’ll be technically confident, commercially aware, and comfortable dealing with senior clients and complex matters. You’ll bring:
- CTA, ATT or strong QBE
- Manager or Senior Manager experience within mixed or personal tax
- Proven experience working with non-resident and non-dom clients, including complex residency and cross-border issues.
- Strong exposure to HNWI clients (US and/or offshore experience highly desirable)
- Solid technical grounding across residency, CGT, structuring, share-related issues
- Confidence communicating with clients, colleagues and external advisers
- A stable career history and interest in long-term progression
- A collaborative, proactive approach and a good sense of humour
This role would suit someone ready to step into a broader leadership position and progress quickly to Associate Director.
