Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver proactive, strategic tax advice covering inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax mitigation, non-domicile and residency matters, trust structuring, and succession planning.
  • Act as a trusted adviser, building long-term relationships through direct client interaction and high-quality, tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with HMRC and other professional advisers to manage complex tax issues and negotiate on clients' behalf.
  • Review and oversee the preparation of complex self-assessment tax returns, ensuring they align with broader advisory strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical development and client-facing confidence.
  • Maintain high standards of technical and ethical compliance, managing deadlines and budgets efficiently.

Key Requirements:

  • CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with significant tax advisory experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise in private client tax with a strong advisory track record, ideally from a professional services background.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of UK personal tax, particularly for HNWIs, trusts, IHT, and CGT.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative, client-first approach.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple advisory projects and mentor junior staff effectively.
