Due to continued growth within this Top 40 firm's Swindon office, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audit and Accounts Trainee to join a dynamic team. This role offers a balanced mix of audit (50%) and accounts (50%) work, with exposure across both charity/not-for-profit and commercial sectors.

Your role as an Audit & Accounts Trainee

  • Assist in delivering audit and accounts assignments for:
    • Limited companies (including groups)
    • Charities and not-for-profit organisations
    • Sole traders and partnerships
  • Work with both complete and incomplete records, including cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Prepare draft corporation tax and business tax computations, including supporting analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring timely delivery of information.
  • Support the team with ad‑hoc project work as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English Language at grade C/4 or above.
  • Minimum of 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade CCC or above, or a UK university degree (2:2 or above).
  • Ideally some audit experience (planning, preparation, completion), although full training will be provided.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards for Auditing (desirable).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
