Audit Partner / Director RI - Southampton

Our client is a well‑established, award‑winning accountancy practice with a strong market presence and a network of regional offices. As part of its continued expansion, the firm is seeking an experienced Audit Director or Partner to lead the audit offering in Southampton and across the region, replicating the success achieved across its other locations. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and maintaining exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse audit portfolio, ensuring excellence in delivery and client service.
• Build and strengthen senior client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and first point of contact.
• Drive business development, securing new audit and assurance work and expanding existing client relationships.
• Provide technical oversight, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and internal quality controls.
• Inspire, mentor, and develop a growing team in Southampton.

Qualifications / Experience Required

• RI status with a recognised UK professional body (e.g. ICAEW or ACCA) with experience at Director or Partner level.
• Extensive technical audit expertise and up-to-date regulatory knowledge.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams.
• Commercially astute, proactive, and collaborative, with the ambition to influence firm strategy and growth.
