For a government organisation based in Berkshire, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner for 12-months. Working with the Capital and Infrastructure division, this role is key in supporting Project Control teams, Project Managers, and Executive leadership make decisions based on insightful management information, and analysis to drive financial performance. This role will lead on budgeting, forecasting, business case validation / development, and procurement planning.
Main Duties
- Lead business planning and forecasting processes, providing assurance to Project Control stakeholders around cost management
- Review and challenge forecasts, and monitor against spending review
- Challenge stakeholders (including suppliers, contractors and infrastructure partners) to achieve workforce objectives and optimise resources
- Support and lead on resource planning activities and in the review of business cases
- Work closely with stakeholders to provide decision-making insightful information to drive financial performance
- Produce robust forecasts, budgets, procurement plans, financial reports and variance analysis
- Ensure budgets and funding are robust
Person Specification
- CCAB qualified and ideally with experience across complex central Government and Project environments
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects (£multimillion / billion)
- Experience in business planning, forecasting, business partnering and project finance
- Experience in partnering with Directors, budget holders, business managers and project teams
- Experience with Oracle Fusion and advanced Excel is desirable
- Construction, Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure experience is highly desirable
