Working with an unrivalled range of prestigious UK and international clients, the team combines technical excellence with innovation through significant investment in automation, robotics, and digital tax solutions. Within this division, the dedicated Trust Compliance Team delivers trust accounts, trust tax returns and Inheritance Tax returns for some of the UK’s most significant trusts, alongside a diverse offshore trust portfolio. Your new role

As a Trust Tax Senior, you will manage your own portfolio of UK and offshore trusts, acting as a key point of contact while cultivating long‑term client relationships. You will prepare and review trust accounts, trust returns, IHT returns, and TRS filings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery across all compliance areas. You will also contribute to financial management, spotting consulting opportunities arising from compliance work, and play a key role in supporting and developing junior team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of UK and offshore trusts as main client contact
  • Preparing and reviewing trust accounts, trust tax returns, IHT returns and TRS submissions
  • Delivering accurate ad‑hoc tax calculations within tight timeframes
  • Supporting engagement profitability and workflow efficiency
  • Identifying advisory opportunities emerging from compliance activity
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members

To be successful in this role, you’ll need

  • ACA, AAT, ATT, CTA or STEP qualification (or international equivalent)
  • Strong private client tax background with hands‑on trust compliance experience
  • Experience preparing trust accounts, trust returns and IHT returns
  • Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple deliverables
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite
