Our client is a well-established regional accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence across Yorkshire and the North. Their Private Client Tax team is a cornerstone of the business – advising HNWIs, entrepreneurs, and family offices on all aspects of personal taxation, including residence and domicile, inheritance tax, capital gains, and succession planning. You'll be joining a collaborative, forward‑thinking practice that values expertise, innovation, and long‑term relationships.
Your new role
As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you'll lead a diverse portfolio of high‑value clients, delivering a mix of complex advisory and compliance work. You'll manage and mentor a growing team, oversee quality delivery, and work closely with Partners on business development and strategic client initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Leading complex advisory projects across residence & domicile, IHT, CGT, and succession planning
- Managing and reviewing a portfolio of HNW and UHNW client work
- Building strong client relationships and supporting new business initiatives
- Coaching and developing Managers and Assistant Managers within the team
- Ensuring technical excellence and compliance with all relevant legislation
- Working closely with Partners to drive growth and maintain the firm’s reputation for quality
Qualifications
- CTA or equivalent qualification (ACA, ACCA, STEP advantageous)
- Significant Private Client / Personal Tax experience within practice
- Strong technical knowledge across IHT, CGT, residence, and domicile matters
- Proven track record in managing teams and leading advisory projects
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
