Your new firm
Our client is a growing national accountancy firm with a strong and expanding tax division delivering VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Personal Tax, Global Mobility and Employment Tax services to a wide range of clients. The Corporate Tax team works across multiple sectors and is regularly involved in transactional advisory work including demergers, restructuring, acquisitions and disposals.
Your new role
As a Corporate Tax Manager you will support Senior Managers, Directors and Partners in delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services to a condensed portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors. You’ll take ownership of client deadlines, manage WIP and billing, and supervise and develop junior team members while building strong client relationships. Alongside core compliance work you’ll have the opportunity to support advisory projects across group restructuring, international expansion, share schemes and tax efficiency reviews, as well as contributing to due diligence exercises and new business proposals.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across multiple sectors
- Reviewing tax provisions, tax accounting schedules and corporation tax computations
- Supporting the delivery of advisory projects across a broad range of corporate and business tax matters
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring excellent client service
- Managing WIP and billing for your client portfolio
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members
- Supporting tender and new business proposals
- Assisting with tax due diligence exercises and technical tax queries
- Delivering internal training on corporation tax matters
Qualifications
- ACA / CA / CTA qualification or equivalent
- Proven corporate tax experience within a practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax principles across SME and large corporate matters
- Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to non‑specialists
- Experience managing a client portfolio profitably
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively during busy periods
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of how tax influences wider business decisions
