Our client is a Big 4 practice with one of the UK's most forward-thinking and fast-growing Accounting Services teams, supporting both UK and multinational groups with high-quality statutory reporting, outsourced accounting operations, digital transformation, and technical advisory services.
About the Role:
As a Senior Manager you will own a sizeable client portfolio, lead multi-disciplinary project teams, drive complex technical, advisory, and reporting engagements, act as a senior escalation point for clients, manage quality and risk, guide emerging leaders, and contribute to strategic initiatives, national transformation projects, and market growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and review complex statutory financial statements under FRS 102 / IFRS / US GAAP
- Oversee multi-client accounting portfolios at scale
- Lead advisory projects across reporting, controls, systems, and process improvement
- Manage cross-border and multi-jurisdictional engagements
- Act as senior point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
- Lead quality, risk, and technical review processes
- Support national Accounting Services strategy and transformation initiatives
- Manage and develop managers, assistant managers, and associates
- Drive business development, proposal work, and growth of the practice
Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in technical accounting, statutory reporting, or advisory
- Strong technical knowledge across UK GAAP / IFRS (US GAAP beneficial)
- Experience managing teams and large-scale client portfolios
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Proven track record of delivering complex accounting or project-based work
- Experience contributing to leadership initiatives, quality, or practice development
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and developing talent
