I'm currently partnering with a highly regarded Top 100 independent accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a Tax Senior into its growing Tax Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to join a well‑established firm that combines high‑quality client work, strong technical development and genuine work‑life balance.

The Firm has been established for over 70 years, with approximately 10 Partners and 90 staff, providing tax, audit, accounts, corporate finance and insolvency services across London, Essex and the South East. The Tax Department consists of around 20 professionals and has built a strong reputation advising owner‑managed businesses, entrepreneurs, property businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals. The team is known for its collaborative culture, excellent retention and commitment to developing talent from within.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
  • Preparing and reviewing Self‑Assessment and Corporation Tax Returns
  • Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
  • Supporting on tax planning and advisory projects
  • Building and maintaining long–term client relationships
  • Working across a broad range of sectors including property, professional practices, SMEs and entrepreneurial businesses

The Package

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
  • 36‑hour working week
  • Flexi‑time with core hours of 10am‑4pm
  • Hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day home)

About You

  • Experience working within a UK accountancy practice tax team
  • ATT/CTA qualified, studying, or qualified by experience
  • Strong personal tax or mixed tax background
  • Confident managing client relationships
