Overview
I'm working with a Big 4 firm that is looking to strengthen its Reward and Incentives team at Associate Director level. This is a senior advisory role focused on helping large listed businesses, private companies, high-growth groups and international organisations design, implement and manage equity and cash-based incentive arrangements. The work sits at the intersection of tax, reward, employment, corporate governance and wider commercial advisory. You would be advising clients on how to structure incentive plans in a way that is practical, compliant, commercially sensible and aligned with their wider people and business strategy. At this level, the role is not just about technical delivery. You would be expected to take ownership of client relationships, lead projects, support more junior members of the team, and contribute to business development activity across a highly regarded national practice.
Responsibilities
- Advising on UK and international share plans, equity incentives and cash-based reward arrangements
- Helping clients design, implement and operate incentive structures
- Supporting businesses through transactions, growth events and wider corporate change
- Advising on employer and employee tax implications
- Preparing technical advice, client updates and practical guidance
- Attending client meetings and acting as a senior point of contact
- Supporting pitches, proposals and relationship development
- Working alongside tax, legal, employment and wider advisory specialists
Candidate profile
The firm is open to speaking with people from a range of backgrounds. You may currently be in professional services, in-house, or have a mixed background across both. Tax, accountancy and legal profiles could all be relevant. A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA, solicitor or barrister would be useful, but the main priority is genuine experience in this market and the ability to advise clients with confidence. This would suit someone who wants a senior Big 4 platform, high-quality advisory work, strong client exposure and a route to keep developing commercially without moving too far away from the technical detail.
As an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply and would encourage you to let us know if there are steps we can take to ensure that your recruitment process enables you to present yourself in a way that makes you comfortable.
