Your new role

As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager, you'll support the delivery of both compliance and advisory work, managing a varied portfolio of HNW and UHNW individuals. You'll be working closely with senior managers and partners on bespoke tax planning projects – including residence and domicile, succession planning, and trusts – while providing mentorship to junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of private clients and overseeing annual tax compliance
  • Reviewing returns, reports, and correspondence to HMRC
  • Supporting delivery of advisory projects including residence & domicile, CGT, IHT, and estate planning
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Coaching and reviewing work of junior team members
  • Collaborating with partners and directors to deliver high-quality client outcomes

Qualifications

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT or equivalent qualification (or near completion)
  • Experience within Private Client or Personal Tax, ideally in practice
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge across UK personal tax matters
  • Ability to manage deadlines and mentor junior staff
