Our client is a highly respected independent accountancy firm with a strong regional presence and a growing tax team. Following continued growth and increasing demand for advisory work, they are now looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior to work closely with the Tax Manager and Tax Director. With a clear succession plan in place, this role offers a genuine opportunity to progress quickly as the team continues to expand.
Your new role
As a Corporate Tax Senior, you will work directly with the Tax Manager and Tax Director, gaining hands-on exposure to both compliance and advisory projects. You will be heavily involved in client meetings, report preparation, and technical work, as well as reviewing tax computations prepared by the audit and accounts teams. This is a highly visible role with real responsibility and the opportunity to accelerate your development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing corporate tax computations prepared by audit/accounts teams
- Supporting on a range of advisory projects including:
- Tax clearances
- Profit extraction planning
- Capital allowances analysis
- Attending client meetings and assisting with report preparation
- Working closely with senior leadership on complex tax matters
- Ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of tax work
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or currently studying towards CTA
- 4-5 years’ experience in tax, ideally within corporate tax compliance
- Exposure to tax advisory work (e.g. clearances, planning, or technical analysis)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
