Your new role
As a Manager in Accounting Services, you will lead a portfolio of clients, overseeing statutory reporting, management accounting delivery, outsourced finance operations, and technical accounting projects. You will manage engagement teams, review technical output, and act as the key client contact on complex assignments. Alongside delivery, you will play a significant role in advisory, supporting process improvement, controls, reporting architecture, digital transformation, and cross-border technical reporting work. You will also contribute to the development of junior staff, shaping the future capability of the team.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the preparation and review of statutory financial statements (FRS 102 / IFRS / US GAAP)
- Managing a diverse portfolio of UK and multinational clients
- Overseeing outsourced accounting operations and management reporting cycles
- Leading technical accounting projects and advisory engagements
- Acting as main point of contact for client relationships and escalations
- Supporting major proposals and contributing to national initiatives
- Managing and developing junior staff, including delegation and coaching
- Ensuring high-quality delivery across compliance, reporting and controls
To be successful in this role you’ll need
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or international equivalent)
- Strong statutory reporting and technical accounting experience
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP / IFRS (US GAAP beneficial)
- Experience managing client portfolios and leading teams
- Ability to oversee multiple engagements simultaneously
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
