Responsibilities
- Preparing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager or Manager.
- Preparing draft business tax computations for review.
- Producing VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments and management accounts for a diverse client base.
- Assisting with the filing of statutory accounts and corporate tax returns.
- Identifying and raising technical or client queries with the Business Services Assistant Manager or Manager.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients while delivering a high standard of service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A full UK driving licence.
- AAT, ICAS, ACCA or ACA qualification, or be qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice in a Business Services or Accounts role.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organisational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to use initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented attitude.
