An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join a well-established and growing Top 20 accountancy practice. This role focuses on managing the personal tax compliance cycle, alongside providing ad hoc advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients including individuals, trusts, partnerships and LLPs. A significant proportion of work relates to landed estates and rural businesses.

Your role as a Personal Tax Manager

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.
  • Oversee the personal tax compliance cycle.
  • Review work prepared by junior tax staff.
  • Provide tailored tax advice, including inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax planning, trust planning, and international tax matters.
  • Ensure all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Play a key role in supporting and developing junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
  • Get involved in wider firm initiatives, including advisory projects, internal committees and presentations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must be ATT/ACA/CTA qualified.
  • Proven experience in personal tax compliance and advisory.
  • Previous experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing junior staff work.
  • Background within professional services.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
