A well‑established independent accountancy firm in Witney is seeking an experienced Audit Responsible Individual (RI) to lead an established audit portfolio as part of a planned leadership transition. One of the firm’s existing Audit Directors is moving into a business development role, creating space for a senior audit professional to step into a key position with real influence over quality, people, systems and growth.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of a significant audit portfolio
- Acting as the main relationship lead for audit clients
- Driving audit quality, compliance and best practice
- Improving audit systems, processes and methodologies
- Mentoring, developing and strengthening the audit team
- Working closely with the leadership team on audit strategy
- Helping to grow the firm’s audit presence in the market
Qualifications
- Must already hold RI status at your current firm
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Significant UK accountancy practice audit experience
- Strong experience managing audit portfolios
- Experience leading and developing audit teams
- Strong FRS 102 audit knowledge
- Quality‑focused, commercially minded approach
