Partnering directly with senior leadership at a top-tier Top 10 accountancy firm, we are seeking a US/UK Tax Manager to join their market-leading Trust & Family Wealth team. This is a premier opportunity to focus on US-connected trusts and ultra-high-net-worth estate planning within an agile, nationwide practice that offers a true 50/50 balance between compliance and complex advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Border Portfolio Management: Oversee a high-profile client portfolio of US-connected trusts, foreign grantor trusts, and multinational estates (often valued at £200m+).
  • Advisory & Planning: Deliver bespoke US/UK dual-handling tax advice, addressing double tax treaty application, passive foreign investment companies (PFICs), IHT, and estate structuring.
  • Senior Collaboration: Partner directly with Directors and Partners on high-value advisory mandates, client presentations, and referral networks.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, review, and mentor junior staff, fostering technical growth across US/UK trust compliance and reporting standards.

About You

  • Experience: Strong technical background in US/UK crossover tax with deep in trust and estate taxation within practice (Big 4, Top 10/20, or specialist private client boutique).
  • Qualifications: Enrolled Agent (EA), CTA, STEP, ATT, or CPA (strong single-qualified or dual-qualified candidates are welcomed).
  • Technical Breadth: Demonstrable understanding of foreign trust rules, cross-border treaty interactions, and US reporting requirements (e.g., Forms 3520/3520-A).
  • Level: We will consider strong Assistant Managers ready to step up, established Managers, or experienced candidates looking for a Senior Manager track.
