This position stands out for its high advisory concentration: routine corporate tax compliance is managed by the audit practice, and personal tax returns are prepared by junior staff, leaving you free to focus on high-impact consultancy, portfolio management, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-Level Advisory: Deliver bespoke advisory solutions across CGT, IHT, EIS, R&D tax incentives, business restructurings, and cross-border planning.
  • Portfolio Ownership: Act as the trusted primary contact for a high-calibre portfolio of owner-managed businesses, HNWIs, and privately held groups.
  • Technical Review: Oversee and sign off on personal and corporate tax compliance prepared by junior team members.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner directly with leadership on complex transactions, business development initiatives, and cross-selling across international network offices.

About You

  • Qualifications: CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven UK tax experience within an accountancy practice, managing mixed tax or private client portfolios.
  • Technical Breadth: Strong track record in tax advisory work across personal and corporate taxation.
  • Relationship Focus: Excellent client-facing skills with a commercial mindset and a passion for mentoring junior colleagues.
