Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you looking to transition out of baseline compliance and step into a genuinely client-facing, advisory-led seat? A premier, long-established London practice with a 100-year heritage is appointing a Private Client Tax Advisor to join its expanding Private Wealth division. This position stands out for its high advisory concentration: routine compliance is delegated and overseen, leaving you to focus on high-value strategic planning, cross-tax advisory, and direct client relationship management for HNW entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, and internationally mobile individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Tax Planning: Deliver bespoke advisory solutions across IHT, CGT, non-domiciled tax structuring, residency, and personal/corporate tax interaction.
  • Portfolio Ownership: Act as the main trusted advisor for an entrepreneurial HNW client base, leading client meetings and identifying proactive planning opportunities.
  • Compliance Oversight: Review and oversee tax compliance completed by junior staff rather than preparing baseline returns.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Work: Collaborate closely with the Corporate Tax division on complex transactional and OMB restructuring projects.
  • Practice Growth: Participate in business development, professional networking, and client acquisition initiatives (supported by generous bonus incentives).

About You

  • Qualifications: CTA qualified, or CTA student (full financial and study leave support provided).
  • Experience: Strong background in UK personal tax gained within practice, with exposure to HNWIs and owner-managed business structures.
  • Skills: Commercial mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the confidence to lead client meetings and build long-term advisory relationships.
  • Aspiration: Motivated to move away from heavy compliance delivery into a pure advisory role with rapid progression prospects.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive Package: Base salary £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) + performance bonus + business development incentives.
  • Full CTA Support: Comprehensive study funding, tuition courses, and paid study leave.
  • Agile Culture: Modern hybrid working arrangement (3 days office / 2 days remote).
  • Vibrant Environment: Highly collaborative team of ~60 staff featuring regular socials, rooftop gatherings, and industry networking events.
