About the Firm
Our client is a well-established and reputable accountancy practice based in the heart of Salisbury. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Tax Senior to join their expanding team.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for a tax professional looking to take the next step in their career within a friendly and forward-thinking practice. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients and supporting the Tax Manager and Partners with advisory work where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as first point of contact for tax queries
- Liaising directly with clients and HMRC on tax matters
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory projects (e.g. capital gains tax, residence & domicile, remuneration planning, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance deadlines are met and maintaining strong client relationships
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and best practice
Ideal Candidate
- ATT qualified or working towards CTA/ACCA/ACA
- At least 2–4 years’ experience in tax within an accountancy practice
- Experience with personal tax, corporate tax, or mixed tax portfolios
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
- Proficient with tax software (e.g. CCH, Iris, or similar) and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage a varied workload
