We’re working with a well-established and progressive accountancy practice with offices across Chichester and Hampshire. They are seeking a proactive and experienced Portfolio Manager to join their dynamic team. The Role
As Portfolio Manager, you will lead the delivery of services to your own portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance, quality, and a first-class client experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of client service delivery, including year-end accounts, corporation tax, and personal tax compliance
- Advising clients on business and tax matters, offering strategic insight and support
- Leading and mentoring junior team members, reviewing work, and supporting their development
- Overseeing workflow to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of services
- Meeting internal billing targets and service KPIs
- Supporting Directors and Partners on more complex or high-value clients
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining client relationships and driving excellent standards across the practice.
About You
You will be:
- ACCA or ACA qualified, with at least 2–3 years' post-qualification experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Confident managing your own portfolio and communicating with clients at all levels
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines
- Experienced in reviewing accounts and providing constructive feedback to junior staff
- Technically strong, with a good grasp of both business and personal tax compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with a variety of accounting software and an interest in advisory work will be highly valued.
