The role involves:
- Running audits from planning through to completion, being a proper point of contact for clients.
- Leading audit assignments end to end, in line with auditing standards.
- Reviewing junior team members' work and supporting their development.
- Building relationships with clients and understanding how their businesses run.
- Managing your own workload and deadlines across several assignments.
- Identifying where the firm can add value beyond the audit itself.
- Collaborating with managers, partners, and other departments to deliver work.
- Keeping on top of changes to accounting and auditing standards.
What they need from you:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or a finalist with solid audit experience.
- Audit experience gained in a UK accountancy practice.
- Ability to juggle several assignments at once.
- Good with clients and confident in building rapport quickly.
- Some experience supervising or mentoring juniors.
- Commercial awareness, particularly around SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
