This well-established independent practice, with a modern and friendly Southwick office, is expanding and looking for an enthusiastic Accounts professional to join the team.
This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone with solid experience in practice who enjoys working closely with a wide range of clients.
The Role:
You will be responsible for supporting the preparation of accounts and tax returns for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, while building great client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the Southwick office.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation and personal tax returns
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and cloud accounting software
- Liaising with managers and partners to ensure timely delivery of work
About You:
- Experience in a UK accountancy practice is essential
- AAT qualified or studying, or qualified by experience
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts prep, and VAT
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks etc.)
- A positive attitude, good attention to detail, and willingness to learn
