Payroll Administrator Eastbourne Full-time, office-based with flexi-time £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
A well‑established, independent accountancy firm in Eastbourne is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their friendly team. It's a proper end‑to‑end payroll role with real responsibility from day one, and plenty of client contact.
What you’ll be doing
- Running up to around 150 client payrolls, all shapes and sizes.
- Handling starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, SPP, pension auto‑enrolment and other deductions as they come up.
- Year‑end processes, and calculating holiday entitlement and pay.
- Liaising directly with clients to gather information and offer advice and solutions.
- Completing and submitting BACS and pension enrolment forms, and everything HMRC needs.
What they’re looking for
- Someone confident processing payroll and auto‑enrolment from start to finish.
- Comfortable dealing with clients directly, and a genuinely good communicator.
- Organised, accurate, and happy juggling a few things at once.
- Experience with Sage Payroll is a plus, but not essential.
- Payroll experience from a practice or bureau is ideal, but strong in‑house payroll people are very welcome too.
What’s on offer
- £28,000 to £31,000, depending on experience.
- Flexi‑time. It’s office‑based, but you choose your start and finish around fixed core hours of 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:30 to 16:30, working the rest flexibly anywhere between 08:00 and 18:30. Real control over your day.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising with length of service.
- Health insurance, and team socials through the year.
- A supportive team where you’re trusted to get on with it.
