The role:

As a general practice manager, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of SME clients, delivering year-end accounts, tax compliance, and advisory services. You will play a hands-on role in client communication, team management, and driving service excellence across the board.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high quality accounting and advisory services
  • Preparing and reviewing year end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
  • Completing corporation tax computations and CT600s
  • Overseeing VAT return reviews
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of accountants and admin staff
  • Contributing to business development and identifying growth opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal processes
  • Acting as the main point of contact for key client relationships

About you:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Comfortable managing full accounts production through to final sign off
  • Confident communicator - with both clients and team members
  • Organised, proactive, and deadline driven
  • A natural leader and team player, eager to mentor junior staff
  • Commercially aware and keen to grow with the firm
