ABOUT THE FIRM
My client is a well-established local practice that's part of a large UK and Ireland accountancy and business advisory group. It's a friendly, close-knit office working with local businesses, but with the training, resources and specialist colleagues of a much bigger organisation behind it.
THE ROLE
You'll look after the bookkeeping, VAT and year-end accounts for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, working from the clients' own records. You'll also help with personal and corporation tax returns, working closely with the seniors and managers to get everything done on time.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Bookkeeping and preparing accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Helping with personal and corporation tax returns
- Working with senior colleagues to hit deadlines and budgets
- Helping improve how the team works
WHO THIS WILL SUIT
- Part-qualified AAT, ACA or ACCA, or actively studying
- At least 2 to 3 years' experience in practice
- Good working knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation
- Confident with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Organised, accurate and happy working with minimal supervision
