Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the planning, fieldwork, and completion stages
- Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior staff and seniors
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering a high standard of service and building long-term relationships
- Ensure audits are carried out in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with partners on technical and strategic matters, including billing and client development
- Contribute to internal team development, process improvements, and training initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), audit regulations, and industry trends
Candidate Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Previous experience managing audit engagements in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and FRS 102
- Comfortable leading teams and supporting junior staff
- Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred, due to client site visits
