ABOUT THE FIRM
My client is an established Ashford practice that's part of a national accountancy group. It looks after a broad mix of small and medium-sized businesses, with a local team that knows its clients well and the backing of a bigger organisation behind it.
THE ROLE
You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, completing and reviewing a wide range of accounts and being the main point of contact. A big part of the job is reviewing the accounts team's work, giving useful feedback and helping people develop. You'll also work closely with the partners, supporting them day to day, so your voice will be heard.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Managing your own portfolio of SME clients
- Completing and reviewing a wide variety of accounts
- Reviewing the accounts team's work and owning the quality of what goes out
- Giving feedback and developing the team
- Meeting clients and taking ownership of the relationship
- Supporting the partners with day-to-day matters
- Keeping work on track against deadlines and internal budgets
WHO THIS WILL SUIT
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- At least 5 years' recent experience in a similar practice role
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102, including Section 1A
- Confident reviewing work and developing others
- Comfortable leading client meetings
