At Pro Steel Engineering, our mission is clear: to be the best service-led structural steel business in the UK. We're growing — and we're looking for a hands-on Project Manager to play a key role in that journey. This is an opportunity to join a business where you'll have real ownership, visibility, and impact — not just manage projects, but shape how they're delivered.
- Be part of a growing, ambitious steelwork business with a strong pipeline of work
- Work in a team where decisions are made quickly and your voice is heard
- Take ownership of projects end-to-end — not just a small part of the process
- Opportunity to develop and progress as the business continues to scale
- A business genuinely focused on service, quality, and doing things properly
The role involves:
- Leading and delivering multiple structural steel projects from award through to completion
- Driving programme, sequencing, and day-to-day activity across site and workshop
- Coordinating fabrication, logistics, and installation with internal teams and subcontractors
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients — building strong, lasting relationships
- Being present on site — solving problems, driving progress, and keeping things moving
- Working closely with commercial teams to manage costs, variations, and performance
- Taking ownership of issues and resolving them quickly and effectively
Health, Safety & Quality:
- Leading from the front on Health & Safety
- Ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and followed
- Driving quality across fabrication and installation
- Working to high standards including BS EN 1090 (Execution Class 4)
What we're looking for:
- Experience delivering structural steel or construction projects
- A hands-on, proactive approach — someone who takes ownership
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communicator with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders
- Organised, solutions-focused, and able to keep projects on track
- A mindset aligned to service, quality, and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Certifications:
- We're flexible on background, but ideally you'll have a mix of the below:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS Card (Black/White or equivalent)
- Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor (beneficial)
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction, Engineering or similar (beneficial, not essential)
More important than qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering construction or structural steel projects
- Strong understanding of site operations, sequencing, and buildability
- Confidence managing subcontractors and driving delivery on site
- A hands-on approach — someone who takes ownership and gets stuck in
Our values:
- Everything we do is built around collaborative solutions
- Sustainability ingrained ideas
- Integrity and accountability always
- A great place to work
