Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Welder position located in Pontypool. The Welder will perform daily welding tasks, including arc welding, TIG welding, and MIG welding, to support various steelwork fabrication and construction projects. The role involves working closely with materials to ensure the construction of safe and durable products, and adhering to quality and safety standards in all tasks. Collaboration with team members to meet project deadlines and maintaining equipment and tools will also be key responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including Arc Welding, TIG Welding, and MIG Welding
- Experience working with different steel and metal materials
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong understanding of safety guidelines and workplace compliance
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience in structural steelwork is advantageous
- Relevant welding certifications and qualifications are an asset
