We are recruiting a reliable and compassionate Registered General Nurse (RGN) for a temporary assignment within a care home based in Oswestry. This role is ideal for agency or locum nurses seeking flexible work while delivering high-quality, person-centred care to elderly residents in a care home setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective nursing care to residents
- Administer medication in line with NMC guidelines
- Complete clinical assessments, care plans, and risk assessments
- Monitor residents’ condition and respond to changes promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support and supervise care staff on shift
- Act as Nurse in Charge when required
- Liaise with GPs, families, and external healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid NMC registration (RGN)
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous UK nursing experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and confidence working independently
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience working in a care home or elderly care setting
- Dementia or palliative care experience
- Familiarity with CQC standards
