Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate mental health nursing care to patients
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to care planning
- Monitor patients' mental state and risk, responding appropriately to changes
- Administer medication in line with prescriptions and NHS protocols
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Support patients with acute, chronic, or complex mental health needs
- Promote recovery-focused and person-centred care
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies
Requirements
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Minimum 6-12 months NHS mental health experience (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different clinical environments
- Right to work in the UK
