About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and highly confident Switchboard Operator to join their busy office-based team in Olney. This is a specialist telephone-based role where you will be responsible for managing a high volume of incoming calls and ensuring callers are quickly and accurately directed to the appropriate person or department. The successful candidate will be confident, professional and decisive, with the ability to establish the purpose of a call quickly and take control of conversations where necessary. Experience Required

Previous experience working in a busy switchboard, call centre, telephone reception or another high-volume telephone-based environment is essential. We are looking for someone with excellent telephone skills who can confidently manage a busy switchboard, quickly identify the reason for each call and ensure it reaches the right person or department. This role would suit someone who is naturally confident, sharp and efficient and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two calls are necessarily the same.
