Pro Staff Construction Ltd are currently working with a Principal Contractor that delivers a variety of new build and refurbishment projects for Local Authorities across South East Wales. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Carpenter / Site Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you will be expected to carry out 1st & 2nd fix carpentry works while also overseeing the day‑to‑day running of projects on site.
The Role:
- Carrying out 1st & 2nd fix carpentry works
- Supervising operatives and subcontractors on site
- Ensuring staff arrive on time and daily attendance sheets are completed
- Monitoring Health & Safety standards on site
- Assisting with the smooth delivery of projects from start to finish
- Reporting directly into the Contracts Manager
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter within construction
- Previous supervisory / team leading experience
- Strong understanding of site Health & Safety
- Ability to manage workloads and communicate effectively on site
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS / SMSTS desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
Package Information:
- £19.00 per hour PAYE Rate includes holiday pay & pension
- 39 hours per week
- Company vehicle & fuel card provided after successful probation
