Pro Staff Construction is working with a growing construction contractor that is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator based in Newport. Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Pricing works and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Obtaining and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assisting with procurement and commercial management of projects
  • Monitoring project costs and supporting financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating role within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of tendering, pricing, and cost management
