Location: Achieving for Children, Kingston and Richmond (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £45,750 – £52,194 (dependent on experience)
Golden Hello of £3,000
Annual Retention Payment of £3,000

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Achieving for Children to recruit a Senior Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team covering Kingston and Richmond.
Achieving for Children is a dedicated children's services organisation delivering social care on behalf of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. This is a senior practitioner post for an experienced child protection social worker who wants to hold complex work, support colleagues and shape practice, with a golden hello and annual retention payment on top of a competitive salary.
The Role
- Hold a caseload of complex child in need, child protection and pre-proceedings work, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
- Complete high-quality, strengths-based assessments that clearly analyse risk, need and protective factors.
- Lead on the more complex cases within the team and offer advice, guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
- Develop and review safety and support plans that reduce risk and promote family resilience.
- Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, reviews and court, and represent the service at multi-agency meetings.
About You
- A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
- Substantial post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care, including child protection and court work.
- Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills and the confidence to hold complexity and risk.
- The ability to mentor and support colleagues and contribute to a strong practice culture.
- A clear commitment to relationship-based and strengths-led practice.
