About North Star Children's Homes: North Star is an independent, Ofsted registered provider of four small, therapeutic children's homes across Surrey and Berkshire. We support young people with EBD, CSE, CCE and mental health needs in homes designed to be calm, contained and nurturing.
The role involves supporting the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the home, leading on quality, compliance and team development. Your week splits roughly 50/50 between shift floor and office, typically 2 long days on shift and 2 office days. You will step up to cover full office hours when the Registered Manager is unavailable.
You will need (essential):
- Level 3 in Children Young People (must hold) and either working towards or already holding Level 5
- Either 5 years experience in Senior RSW or Team Lead positions, OR 2 years already in a Deputy Manager role
- Deep knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the SCCIF
- Strong leadership, supervision and reporting skills
- Right to work in the UK
