Social Worker – Families First, Looked After Children or Adolescent Intervention (Permanent) Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Salary: £40,444 – £46,579 (dependent on experience) Contract: Permanent Pro Social Partners are working with Southend-on-Sea City Council to recruit permanent Social Workers across Families First, Looked After Children and Adolescent Intervention & Prevention teams. The Role * Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans. * Undertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments and direct work with children and families. * Prepare reports and present at child protection conferences and core group meetings. * Work closely with partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children. * Keep children's voices at the centre of all assessment and planning. About You * A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration. * Experience within Children's Social Care. * Sound knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children and statutory processes. * Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
