Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with North Star Children's Homes to recruit a Responsible Individual to hold oversight of their residential children's homes across Berkshire and Surrey. North Star is a growing residential childcare provider supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and this is a rare opportunity to take strategic responsibility for a portfolio of homes at a genuine point of growth.
The Role
- Hold Ofsted responsibility for the quality of care, compliance, and outcomes across all homes.
- Support, supervise, and develop Registered Managers, holding them to account for practice standards.
- Lead on Ofsted registration, inspection preparation, and regulatory compliance across the group.
- Monitor quality assurance, Regulation 44 and 45 reporting, and improvement planning.
- Work with the leadership team on growth, new registrations, and service development.
- Build strong relationships with placing authorities, Ofsted, and partner agencies.
About You
- You will be a senior residential childcare leader with:
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
- Substantial experience at Registered Manager level or above, ideally with prior Responsible Individual experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted framework.
- A track record of driving improvement and supporting homes through inspection.
