About North Star Children's Homes: North Star is an independent, Ofsted registered provider with four small therapeutic homes across Surrey and Berkshire. We have just opened a new home in Ascot supporting young people with high level complex needs including EBD, CSE and CCE.

The role: You will be part of a specialist team caring for young people with complex behavioural, exploitation and trauma related needs. The work is demanding but properly supported, with a strong therapeutic framework, regular reflective practice and a leadership team that backs its staff.

You will need (essential):

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children Young People (must hold)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a children's residential setting
  • Direct experience working with young people displaying EBD, CSE and CCE
  • Confidence with safeguarding, de-escalation and risk management
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Right to work in the UK

Hours, shifts and holiday: 40 hours per week, 240 hours holiday per year. Mixed shifts: 07:30 to 22:00, 07:30 to 14:30, 14:00 to 22:00. Averaging 1 weekend off in 3.
