About the team and the role:
- The Assessment Team is the first response for children and families who need help.
- You will take new referrals, get out and see families quickly and work out what needs to happen to keep children safe.
- Day to day you will:
- Carry out timely child and family assessments under the Children Act 1989.
- Visit children and families and build trust at what is often a difficult time.
- Analyse risk and make confident decisions about the right support.
- Complete section 47 enquiries alongside police, health and education partners.
