Deputy Manager with North Star Children's Homes in Winkfield. A permanent role recruited by Pro Social Partners.

About the role

North Star run a growing group of children's homes across Berkshire and Surrey, supporting children with EBD, CSE and CCE. They staff every home to 120 percent so children always have familiar faces around them, which means real investment in people rather than running teams thin. With homes across four locations there is a genuine ladder here from Residential Support Worker through to Deputy, Registered Manager and a company wide Responsible Individual post. Sleep ins are paid at £60, holiday is 240 hours a year on care roles and they promote from within as new homes open.

What the job involves

Second in charge of the home. Supervising the team, leading shifts, care planning and stepping up in the manager's absence. Usually split between office work and time on shift, which is the natural route to a registered manager post.
