Social Worker - Children's Localities + £5k Retention Bonus in Cardiff

Cardiff Full-Time On-site
P

Social Worker, Localities (LAC/CP) with Cardiff Council in Cardiff, Wales. A permanent, full time post recruited by Pro Social Partners.

The role

The Localities teams hold the heart of the statutory work: children looked after and child protection cases together, so your week spans conference, court and care planning with the same families throughout.

What the work is

A mixed caseload in one patch covering both children in care and child protection, so you keep families as their circumstances change rather than handing them on.

Why it could suit you

Holding LAC and CP together keeps your practice rounded and your relationships unbroken when a case changes status. Many workers never want to go back to split teams.

Pay and package

  • Salary £40,777 to £45,091 a year
  • £5,000 retention payment a year
  • Total package up to £50,091
  • The employer can offer visa sponsorship

Benefits

  • Sponsorship transfer considered for the right candidate
  • Rounded caseloads that keep your practice broad

About Cardiff Council

Cardiff is the Welsh capital's children's service, with £5,000 retention payments at every level and a properly supported pathway from newly qualified to principal. It will also consider transferring sponsorship for the right candidate.

What you need

  • A social work qualification and current registration with Social Care Wales

How to apply

Apply now with your CV and Conor Clarke at Pro Social Partners will call you for a confidential, no pressure chat. There is no form and no covering letter.
