Social Worker, Safeguarding with Bracknell Forest Council in Bracknell, Berkshire. A permanent, full time post recruited by Pro Social Partners.
The role
You will hold a mixed child protection caseload in the Safeguarding team, carrying CIN and CP work through from strategy discussion to plan, with court work where needed. Manageable caseloads and visible managers are the norm here, not the aspiration.
What the work is
Child protection work. Children on plans, core groups and conferences, with pre proceedings and court where a plan is not holding. Caseloads are usually the most complex in the service and the most closely supervised.
Why it could suit you
If you want frontline safeguarding where you are trusted with real complexity but never lost in a huge structure, a small Berkshire authority is exactly where that balance lives.
Pay and package
- Salary £46,783 to £48,873 a year
- £6,000 welcome payment
- Total package up to £54,873
Benefits
- Small, settled teams where everyone knows your name
- Berkshire location with easy reach of Reading and the M4 corridor
About Bracknell Forest Council
Bracknell Forest is one of Berkshire's most compact authorities, small enough that safeguarding practitioners are known by name rather than payroll number. Ofsted has praised the stability of its workforce, and the £6,000 golden hello shows how seriously it invests in the people doing the hardest work.
What you need
- A social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England
How to apply
Apply now with your CV and Conor Clarke at Pro Social Partners will call you for a confidential, no pressure chat. There is no form and no covering letter.
